Easter and our baby moon!

Easter Weekend- I have never been more excited to end my work day then at 4 o'clock on the Saturday afternoon before Easter.  I wanted to go to the 5:30 service at church, but with all of the traffic that must have been from people getting out of town, we didn't make it.  I went home to the perfectly clean house that I had taken care of that morning (what a relief) & packed for a few days out of town!  I walked into the house from the perfect 80 degree breezy weather to music and the delicious smell of BBQ.  Adam made chicken and pineapple kebobs with sliced tomatoes and wild rice, sooo good! Perfect night!

Easter Sunday-  I had been looking forward to getting away for Easter for weeks.  We woke up nice and early Sunday morning, we turned the news on low as we tried to wake ourselves up to get the car packed & get on the road.  As we lay there, the baby started moving and kicking & Adam put his hand on my stomach and felt the baby for the first time.  It was such a special moment and to happen on Easter morning was great! I've been thinking about how we'll share holidays with our son in the future and Easter representing fertility and new life has really been on my mind the last few weeks.

We got on the road early and headed down to San Diego.  Adam was so tripped out by where my mom moved to.  Up all of these winding roads through bad areas until you finally make your way to an "out-of-the-way" community up in the hills where you feel like you're in a movie town.

It was so nice to see my mom and catch up, she was excited that we were coming down to her for the first time. She had the most amazing buffet set up in the dinning room and it was a perfect day to enjoy our holiday meal outside in the beautiful weather.  Her boyfriend Bob was getting over a bug, so he was really quiet and his grand daughter, Lilly, was extremely excited to have company.

The Rancho Bernardo Inn- I wanted to surprise my husband, Adam, with a night at this amazing hotel in San Diego that I had visited a few times while in the area with my mom. That hotel ended up being just what we needed. It was so relaxing with the most perfect weather we've had so far this year! We spent almost a full day at the spa. Adam got a massage that he said was the best he's ever gotten and I lounged under the cabana by the pool where I got extremely sunburnt (Ouch)! We enjoyed relaxing which is something neither of us has gotten to do for awhile & then made our way home.

I forgot to take pictures on Easter which I am so upset about, but finally did take a picture to show off my growing belly.
